Best Friends Day 4: We walked pigs today. The only person who is winning more than us is Charlie Sheen.
Denny’s Wigwam: The little store with big dreams. In other words, this store is chock full of Utah-themed trinkets and taxidermy. Yeehaw. It’s also one of the only establishments in “downtown” Kanab that is open past 3pm.
Best Friends Day 3: A mash-up of photos that we “forgot” to put up yesterday (aka we fell asleep at 10pm). Some highlights: splitting up by working with cats or dogs and taking two puppies on a walk through some sand dunes.
Best Friends Day 2: We had lunch with one of the founders of Best Friends, who was really cool and interesting. She also had a semi-British accent that was pleasant to the ears, not unlike a flute or a cat’s purr. We then headed to the bunny area where we shoveled, uh, “feces” if you will, and scared many of the bunnies. Some of them ate lettuce out of our hands which made us feel useful, but mostly we felt sad because we wanted to stroke their little bunny heads.
Best Friends Day 2: Mid-morning with the cats, cleaning their rooms and socializing with them. Each of the kitties we played with today have feline leukemia but they’re still cute and livin’ it up. Each of us let out our inner cat ladies today, except Kelly who is the only person to get scratched and bleed. She got Hello Kitty bandaids for her wounds, though (irony?).
